Set-Up Fund

Hello Everyone!

We would like to start saving now for our set-up fund. We will need some basic furniture, a washer and dryer, possibly a stove, and some other house-hold items for the place that we will be renting in Mexico City. This fund will also go towards our moving expenses and a down-payment on the rent.

We need to raise at least $6,000.00 to cover our set-up needs.

If you would like to participate send all contributions to:
Macedonia World Baptist Missions
P.O. Box 519, Braselton, GA 30517.

Please put Anderson Set-up Fund in the subject line.

31% of Support

We would like to thank you all for your prayers! We are currently at 31% of our needed support and God keeps adding! The Lord is faithful to show Himself strong and complete His plan for world evangelism even in the midst of financial crisis! God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and we are grateful for what He is doing in our lives.

On Wednesday we were at Old Suwanee Baptist Church and Christian School. I was given the opportunity to preach and present our DVD to their Christian school students that morning during chapel, and we really enjoyed getting to share our excitement for missions with the teenagers.

That night in the service I was given the opportunity to preach again, and we presented our burden and DVD to the church. They voted to take us on for support after the service, and now we are one step closer to our dream of taking the Word of God to the people of Mexico. We are so excited to have them behind us!

Between the morning chapel and the evening service we took a tour of the Christian School at Old Suwanee. It was amazing to see their set-up! The school has about 160 students from kindergarten to high school. All of their teachers are graduates from Christian colleges, and it was a blessing to see how their lives were influencing the lives of the students. We enjoyed our time there with them.

Here are some young men making potato chips in the open market. They are slicing raw potatoes into a pot of  boiling oil. They did not seem to mind me getting them on video.

I came across this video about Mexico City and thought you all could gain a lot from watching it. It has so much info that I did not know about and this is only one of five videos that were put out by this group. It talks about anything from what Mexico City is built on to how they are trying to protect it from any future earthquakes! A very good video!

Here is a video that we did while there in Mexico City. Please watch and pray to see what the Lord would have you or your church to do about partnering with the work that God has put on our hearts!

I was able to preach at a youth camp that some of the different churches came together for this past week. There were 13o people there and it was an awesome opportunity! I preached a message entitled “Are You a Giant Killer?” We have posted a video below from the camp.

Update from GA!

We are so grateful for the opportunity to serve the Lord as we press on towards the mark that God has set for our family! We have had two new supporters get behind us this month! That makes five since we got married back on August 22nd! God is so good to take care of our family and supply every need along the way.

Since getting back from NY we have been in many other churches around the United States. We started out in SC and moved on to TN, MS, NC, and now just got back from VA. We were able to attend a couples Advance and gain a lot of teaching on Marriage and the family.

We are at 25% of the needed support to arrive there in Mexico! Please continue to pray as we seek the face of God and learn more about His heartbeat.

Jonathan and Rebekah

Thank you for your prayers! We arrived safely in New York on Saturday afternoon, and were able to get settled in before Sunday services.100_1879

We are having a wonderful time here at Bayview Baptist Church! God allowed Jonathan to preach twice today, and he was able to share his heart with the people about faith and the heartbeat of God about missions.

God has used this church to encourage and challenge our hearts already, and we are looking forward to the rest of the week!

Please keep us in your prayers as we continue to serve the Lord. Jonathan will be preaching Tuesday and Wednesday night, and we will also be doing some music.

We are going to get to go into the city tomorrow with Pastor Harmon. He is going to take us to see Ground Zero and the Statue of Liberty. Please pray for safety as we travel through New York City.

We were also able to attand the Missions Revival at Pastor Danny Moore’s church this past weekend. God blessed and we were taken on for support! Praise the Lord! Thank you Zion Hill Baptist Church.100_1863

newyork01We are flying out to NY this coming Saturday morning around 6:30 a.m. Please be in prayer as we travel there, while we are serving, and when we come back on the 17th of Sept.

God is so gracious to give this time to minister to a church in NY, and we are excited about sharing our vision in a church that is a mission field itself! Some would say that we should be sending missionaries to NY and not doing deputation there. While this is true, God opened this door of opportunity up and we are excited to follow Him through it.

We will update you all on how things are going once we get there and settle in for the missions conference. We thought that we would have to change Rebekah’s I.D. before going but it looks like we are going to be able to just show our marriage license in order to get on the plane. Praise the Lord!

We love you all and will update soon!

God Bless and take care,

Jonathan and Rebekah
